WHO CAN APPLY?

Applicants must be in their final year of high school or have already completed high school.

Applicants who meet one of the following conditions can apply as international students: 

1. Foreign nationals who have not attended or graduated from high schools im Türkiye,

2. Those attending embassy schools, international private educational institutions listed in the MOBIS, and foreign nationals in Türkiye under a project of the Ministry of National Education,

3. Those who were Turkish citizens by birth but have obtained permission from the Ministry of Interior to renounce their Turkish citizenship, or Blue Card holders (provided they are not currently enrolled in or have not graduated from high school in Türkiye or the TRNC) (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901 states: “[1] “A child born within a marital union to a Turkish citizen mother or father, whether within or outside Türkiye, is a Turkish citizen.”

4. Dual nationals who have subsequently obtained Turkish citizenship (provided they are not currently enrolled in or have not graduated from high school in Turkey or the TRNC), 

5. Turkish citizens who completed their secondary education (high school) entirely in a foreign country other than the TRNC (including those who completed their secondary education entirely in Turkish schools opened under the Ministry of National Education in a foreign country other than the TRNC), 

6. TRNC nationals who reside in TRNC and have completed their secondary education (high school) in the TRNC (excluding those who completed their secondary education at high school in the TRNC that follow the Turkish curriculum) and hold GCE A-Level exam results, or TRNC nationals who completed their scondary education (high school) in a foreign country and meet the minimum test scores from the international tests specified in the Application Guide. 

Applicants who meet one of the following conditions cannot apply as international students: 

1. Turkish citizens who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Turkey or the TRNC, 

2. Dual nationals whose first nationality by birth is Turkish (except those who completed their entire secondary education at high schools outside Turkey or the TRNC),

3. TRNC nationals (except those who completed their entire secondary education at TRNC high schools and hold GCE A-Level exam results, and TRNC nationals who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country and meet the minimum test scores from the international tests specified in the Application Guide,

4. Dual nationals with one nationality being TRNC (except those who completed their entire secondary education at TRNC high schools and hold GCE AL exam results, and TRNC nationals who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country and meet the minimum test scores from the international tests specified in the relevant year's Application Guide),

5. Turkish citizens or dual nationals whose first nationality by birth is Turkish, who are currently enrolled in schools affiliated with embassies in Türkiye or in foreign high schools in Türkiye,

6. Citizens of the TRNC and individuals who have renounced Turkish citizenship or hold a Blue Card, who are currently enrolled in, or have graduated from high school in Türkiye or the TRNC,

7. Foreign nationals who are currently enrolled in or who have graduated from high school in Türkiye (except those who attended embassy schools and international private educational institutions listed in the MOBIS, as well as foreign nationals in Türkiye under a project of the Ministry of National Education).
