The Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBU) participated in the China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE 2026) and China Education Expo (CEE 2026), held in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China. At the event, held at the China National Convention Centre, ASBU was represented at the Study in Türkiye Pavilion, organised in coordination with the Turkish National Agency.
On the first day of CACIE 2026, the ASBU delegation held bilateral meetings with representatives of Chinese higher education institutions. On 30–31 October, during the China Education Expo (CEE 2026), the delegation welcomed visitors to the university's stand at the Study in Türkiye Pavilion. ASBU was represented at the expo, which brought together 52 universities from Türkiye, by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Şevki Duymaz, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, and Lecturer Dr. Deniz Çalık from the International Office Coordination Unit.
Throughout the event, the ASBU stand attracted interest from Chinese students and their families, as well as representatives of higher education institutions from various countries. The ASBU delegation provided visitors with information about the university's academic programmes, educational opportunities and facilities for international students. İlker Astarcı, President of the Turkish National Agency, also visited the ASBU stand and met with university representatives.
During the expo, meetings with education officials and representatives of higher education institutions from various countries provided an opportunity to explore potential academic collaborations and institutional agreements. These meetings aimed to expand ASBU's international academic networks, strengthen institutional relations and establish new partnerships.
The reception held on 30 October as part of the event was attended by Selçuk Ünal, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Beijing, as well as Turkish academics working in China and Turkish students pursuing their studies there.
